Terms and Conditions of Participation

SELF-SYNC AB WAIVER & RELEASE FOR ONLINE COURSE PARTICIPANTS
This Waiver and Release is in addition to any other general terms and conditions or terms of use of the website www.self-sync.se, through which the online course by Self-Sync AB (“Company”) is offered, if applicable. It sets forth additional terms of participation for the participants (“You” or “Participant”), which must be agreed to before beginning the course.

1. The Services: (Self-Sync training course Level 1). In this online course, (“Course”) You will receive content and instructions on how to coach others with the Self-Sync method (“Services”). This work may be categorized as learning how to coach others in their personal development work and will be presented by Dr. David Schultz, creator of the Self-Sync method. During the training You will be practicing the coaching techniques on each other as part of the experiential learning process, therefore You may also gain limited amounts of selfimprovement as a consequence of being a participant in this course.
2. Reservation of Rights. The Company, through its representatives, reserves the right in its sole discretion to refuse or stop the Services, or require a Participant to leave, (without right to a refund), for any act of misfeasance including but not limited to: disruptive or disrespectful behavior or communication with anyone present in the Course, for refusing or failing to comply with written or verbal course requirements, or for otherwise interfering in the experience of others in attendance.
3. Recording and Use of Personal Data. Subject to your prior separate, voluntary and express consent, the Company may capture and include your image and voice in photographic, video or audio recordings created as part of the Course, all of which may be used for education of current and future course participants, and for marketing or advertising purposes without limitation and without compensation or remuneration, now or in the future. However, You have the option to attend the Course without giving your consent to recordings and other use of personal data as long as You do not volunteer to be a participant when the Course leader demonstrates a new technique. As regards questions and answer sessions, your questions will only be recorded and used for training purposes if you have given your consent in advance.
4. Learner Content. You acknowledge that You retain non-exclusive rights in content created by You as part of the Course, such as submitted homework, forum posts, video, audio, and the like (“Learner Content”). You may access the Learner Content during your participation in the Course and for as long as the Course Content is made available on the website. As regards purchased content, You maintain access as long as the Course is posted on the website. Access to Learner Content and purchased content will end if the course is removed from the website, which may occur without prior notice.
5. Confidentiality. While You are free to share your own thoughts and feelings regarding your experience in the Course, You agree that any statements, sentiments or experiences shared by others as part of the Course shall be treated with respect and confidentiality during and following the Course.
6. Disclaimer. Please note that the use of the Course or the Services provided therein is at your own risk. You are also responsible when applying the Course methods towards coaching others for self-improvement to screen them for severe psychological or other issues and suggest they seek the appropriate professional services from others trained and licensed for working with these types of disorders.
   The Company and its representatives are not responsible for any physical or non-physical damages imagined, perceived, or otherwise sustained as a result of the use of the Services or Course, or any information or content provided as part of the Course. The Services provided through the Course are advisory and supportive only, and You bear sole responsibility for the use and implementation of these Services in your life or in coaching others with the techniques provided in this Course. You are free to reject any advice, suggestions or requests made during the Course at any time. There are no guarantees as to the progress or outcomes that may result from the Services and You are responsible for the results You achieve. You acknowledge and agree that the Company shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages – including but not limited to consequential, incidental, non-material, special, or economic loss – arising out of or in connection with your participation in the Course. This includes, but is not limited to, damages resulting from the actions, statements, or conduct of other participants, third parties, instructors, or the conditions of the platform or venue where the Course is held. Any liability of the Company shall in all cases be limited to the amount paid by You for the Course, if any, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.
7. Medical Disclaimer. You confirm that as a material condition of participating in this Course, You are not currently under the care of a mental health provider, or suffering from psychosis, depression or suicidal thoughts. The educational information, training and materials offered by the Company including through the Course are educational only and do not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. If You have questions or situations requiring professional or medical advice, You should consult with an appropriately trained and qualified specialist, such as a licensed psychologist, psychiatrist or other healthcare professional. Never disregard the medical advice of your doctor or other healthcare professional, or delay in seeking such advice because of the information offered or provided within or through the Services or this Course. It is your sole responsibility to provide this medical disclaimer to your future clients when using the Self-Sync method and techniques with them.
8. Intellectual Property. All materials provided to You as part of the Course or Services are proprietary, are to be used for your personal benefit only, and in your use directly with your clients, and may not be duplicated, copied, reproduced, published or displayed in any form or otherwise used for any commercial purpose, unless otherwise authorized in writing by Dr. David Schultz. To be clear, you are prohibited from reproducing, sharing, or teaching this information to any third parties (for purposes of creating trainers), or from training other coaches, professionals or trainers in the Self-Sync Method including its techniques and application.
9. Indemnity. You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Company and its representatives from any claims, liability, damages, losses, harm, costs and expenses, including legal fees and expenses or any other detriment incurred by You in any claims arising out ofthis Waiver and Release, your use of the Services, any breach of this Waiver and Release, or if you take any action during or after the Services that causes the Company to be liable to a third party.
10. Governing Law. This Waiver and Release and any action related thereto shall be governed by the laws of Sweden without regard to its choice of law principles.
